Apartment Torre is a small studio apartment located in the heart of the historic center of Florence, located in the pedestrian-only district about twenty meters from the Piazza Del Duomo and Giotto’s Campanile. The apartment is in a historic building built in the 1200s, which once housed the workshops of famous artists Donatello and Michelozzo. A historic marker on the building reads, “That within these walls, like brothers, the sculptors practiced and refined their trade.” During a recent renovation, traces of doorways and windows have been uncovered that date back to the original “Tower Houses” of the 1200s.
